Thistle-like plant, not commonly cultivated. I'm giving it a try to see what it's like. Just seedlings for now – the photo here shows a first-year plant in early July. I haven't found a good reference for its hardiness, but suspect it may not be up to the zone 6 winters of our Pennsylvania garden. Whatever the cause, I never managed to get it to overwinter. Trying again in Texas...
