Herbaceous, semi-evergreen perennial wildflower occurring across the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas. Tiny yellow flowers appear throughout its period of active growth, among a dense mat of mid-green leaves. Not a widespread weed in our garden – I found it growing as a groundcover in a narrow stretch between our house and our fence, where it receives sun during a few hours in the afternoon.
