Climbing sport of Rosa 'Martha Gonzales' grown for its single red flowers, which appear throughout the season. The leaves come in dark burgundy, then change to dark green. On our specimen, the flower color varies from a deep red to (more commonly) a reddish pink with lighter center. Our plant really took off in its first full season in the garden, prompting me to construct some trellising on the side fence against which it grows. It rewarded us the following April with lots of flowers.
