Probably about two years old here Common name American sycamore Family platanaceae Life cycle tree (Z4-9) Size 75-100' Light sun Large deciduous tree native to the southeastern U.S. It grew as a volunteer in our garden, gaining height quickly over the two or three years I allowed it to persist. Eventually, I had to cut it down, as its location was not conducive to the height and width it would ultimately attain.
