Five-petaled 1.5" orange-red flowers, with bundle of yellow stamens in their centers, come mid-summer to fall. Reaches a substantial size, up to 4 foot wide, when happy. Native to South America, this species is grown as an annual in colder climates, but I hope it will survive in our Houston garden.
