Bulb with 12-inch dark green leaves that grow to form a grassy clump, with nodding white bellflowers on taller scapes. While in colder climates flowering starts in late spring, ours started blooming in the second half of February. The tips of the petals are spotted with green. The popular 'Gravetye Giant' variety has larger flowers than the species.
