Broadleaf evergreen shrub or small tree from northern Mexico, with toothed elliptical leaves, and fragrant white flowers in summer. 'White Water' is the most commonly grown cultivar, and has particularly long inflorescences, but our purchase wasn't labeled with anything but species name.
