Nice larger penstemon, striking when in bloom. Mid-green lance-shaped leaves. Not very long-lived - I replace by growing from seed regularly. Drought resistant.

- Seed from '00 trade. Cellpack, 70F (35%G, 6-16d). Most seedlings succumbed to damp-off.
- Same seed as above. Baggy, 70F (20%G, 11-21d)
- Seed from '02 garden. Baggy, 70F with light (36%G, 8-20d). Several never developed after transplanting to cellpack
- Seed from '02 garden. Pot, 70F with light (16%G, 10-18d). All grew into healthy plants
Germination percentage is always rather low; susceptible to problems after transplanting or wet conditions after germination. Sowing thickly to pot and leaving undisturbed until sturdy plantlets have developed seems like the best approach.
