Evergreen creeping groundcover. Our first plant was set between stepping stones in our side garden in fall of last year; this spring, I forgot I had planted it there, mistook it for a weedy veronica, and yanked it out. Then I realized my mistake, tucked it back in, and it proceeded to do well, covering a bit more area through the rest of the season. Last fall, we bought two more plants, to set near our newly constructed waterfall. These have grown much faster than the first plant, covering a nice swath of sloping ground by mid-summer.

| | No, those are not flowers - they're bits of frost on a cold late-December morning. Evergreen indeed! |
