So much useful information! I was looking for some more info about Aquilegia Ministar because I bought seeds and I’m starting them this winter. I was wondering if winter sowing would be the best method to use and Rob’s notes confirmed it. I will now take some time to go through this amazing database and I’m sure I will find lots of useful practical info about the plants I’m interested in. Thank you for this wonderful work, Rob! |

| Eve Springwood Minson (November 15, 2022) Thank you for this extraordinary resource and your relentless pursuit of plant information, AND OF COURSE, for sharing it with the rest of us plant geeks! :-) Eve |
| Linda (May 10, 2022) I first came across this website in 2005. Since I seldom discard anything on my computer I came across this again in 2022. My own gardening efforts are downsizing because of life changes. I decided during the pandemic to divide a lot of my perennials and give them away free. (of course I have been supplying plants to friends and families for years) This time they were offered for "Free" at my local farmers market with a donation to our food shelf. I have raised around $1200 to $1500 each year for the past two years. My large garden is in the country and I battle lots of wind borne weeds, deer who love my plants and many other critters. |
| ilan (April 19, 2022) Stumbled upon this website through wiby.org looking up "companion plants".
Cute website, so nice to see it is being kept up to date (2022 and actively updated with insights from Winter Storm Uri).
Will be coming back as I enter the world of gardening myself.
Yeehaw for now! |
| Mary (March 26, 2022) I found your website while looking for info about gardening in Richmond, Virginia. Not quite what I was looking for, but I'm so glad I found this! Your gardening journal is very pleasant to read. I like your plant links page, I imagine I might find myself making use of it in the future! |
