<p> So, what do you do now? It is perhaps easier to explain what not to do: Don't 
  get overwhelmed by all the information you have access to.</p>
<p> Don't feel that you have to read all of DDP to edit -- you don't. Treat it 
  as a reference manual - a comprehensive source of information that you can turn 
  to whenever you have a question. The document that you _must_ read is the <a href="http://dmoz.org:8080/guidelines">Directory 
  Guidelines</a>. After you have done so, start editing where you feel comfortable. 
  Don't worry about making mistakes -- they're part of the learning process -- 
  just do what you can and when you have a question seek the answer. Consult the 
  <a href="?">DMOZ Documentation Project</a> and browse the Guidelines. If they 
  don't answer your question, ask somebody. The <a href="http://forums.dmoz.org/forum/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&amp;number=31">New 
  Editors forum</a> is the perfect area for these questions, but if you'd prefer 
  asking another editor privately then consider contacting a senior editor specialising 
  in your area of the Directory ( <a href="http://dmoz.org:8080/Test/Editors/Areas_of_Activity/">Test/Editors/Areas_of_Activity</a> 
  ), or a <a href="http://dmoz.org:8080/Test/Editors/Mentors/">self-described mentor</a>.
