What is cateditall?

Cateditall is a permission somewhat similar to catmod and editall -- featuring
elements of each. In addition to what a normal editor log-in allows, it allows
an editor the following abilities in a given category:

Catmv categories and @links.

Power Reviewed Edit.

Change Search String.

Editall.

It can be granted for top-level categories (e.g. Sports/
    ), World/
<Language> categories (e.g. World/Svenska
    ), and World/<Language>/<Topic> categories (e.g. World/Nederlands/Spellen
). A cateditall grant is generally accompanied by a grant of cateditall permissions
in the equivalent category in Test/ For
example, a cateditall grant for Science/
may be accompanied by a cateditall grant for Test/Science.

How do I become a cateditall?

You can either wait to be noticed, and nominated, by a meta editor, or,
you can apply. If you want to apply, e-mail a meta or staff, indicating the
category you're apply for and the reasons you feel you'd be suitable for the
    position.

What do metas look for when considering somebody for
    cateditall?

Candidates are chosen primarily (though not exclusively) through analysis
of the amount and content of their edit logs, forum interaction, interest
in the project as a whole, and new editor help. Candidates are expected to
have shown a clear interest in the category they are applying for permissions
in. Once chosen, candidates are voted on by meta and staff editors. The final
decision on all cateditall approvals is made by staff.

Must I have permissions in the category for
which I'm applying for permissions in?

No. If, for example, you edit in large sub-categories of Recreation/
but not yet at top-level, still consider applying. Even if your application
for cateditall is declined, you may be granted normal, or greenbuster,
    permissions in the category.

How can I ascertain if a given editor has cateditall
    permissions?

There will be at least one line in their Request History of the form:

date

who

action

Alternatively, you can consult the List

are listed at the bottom of the page. Their status would be indicated by a
