We thought we had lost this plant a few years ago (we had, in its main patch), so I was delighted to see this plant had returned to bloom, from a small division set in a different garden area. The cultivar 'Lucifer' is one of the most brilliant reds in our garden. I've also grown a couple of yellow varieties, shown on this page. 'Norwich Canary' has clear yellow flowers springing from orange buds, while 'George Davidson' has a brassier tone.
