Not commonly grown as ornamental. From what I've read, this sedge should have orange-brown flower spikes in early summer, which turn dark yellow as seed forms. I've not paid enough attention to the two plants we've had growing - by early summer, they are mostly obscured by the lax branches of the arctic willow underneath which they grow. But at least in late May, the inconspicuous flowers on ours are white, not orange. Cute, but probably a case of mistaken identity.
