Grown primarily for the clusters of small purple bead-like fruit. Fruiting is best when several plants are clustered together. I started ours from seed some years ago; just this year, I noticed flowering on a single specimen, and later this year, when the leaves were already fading, I happened to take a look again and behold! There was fruit. And purple-tinted leaves too, for even more color spectacle.

Some helpful links to other websites
- Seed from '02/'03 HPS/MAG exchange. Pot outside late Feb, some germination by early May
- Seed from '06 garden. Soaked several berries overnight, removed pulp. Seeds to baggy 35F (4w) - 70F (80%G, 6-17d)
Noticed that seed husks have a tendency to stay on developing seedlings, sometimes preventing further development.
